Demonstrating strong commercial, operational and technology acumen, Saminda has extensive experience establishing and leading complex business-critical operational, technology and transformation programs.

 

Saminda’s most recent experience includes a role as Chief Operations Officer for a General Insurer that included having the organisation’s Group Strategy, Technology, Transformation, Delivery and PMO functions report to him as part of instigating an organisational transformational change agenda.

Saminda’s experience extends across both Australia and the UK where he has consulted and worked alongside the C-suite within multiple industries, including the Banking, Insurance (General, Life, Health), Telecommunications, Postal, Government and Airline sectors. In particular, his experience extends to transformational change, strategy and operational execution, PMO and program and portfolio management, and regulatory risk and governance delivery.  Saminda has led local and geographically dispersed multi-functional teams ranging in size from five to over 120 people and managing budgets in excess of $100m.

Saminda holds a Master of Business Administration (Melbourne Business School), a Graduate Certificate in Systems Engineering (RMIT University) and an Honours degree in Electrical Engineering (University of Melbourne).  He is a qualified Project Manager (Prince 2 and PMBOK) as well as holding Six Sigma and Agile Certifications. Saminda is currently undertaking his PhD at the University of Queensland exploring cultural diversity in Australian leadership.

Saminda prides himself in being inquisitive and proactive while also demonstrating authenticity in working with people by leveraging his outstanding stakeholder management skills.  These skills and abilities have been instrumental in Saminda’s success to achieve outstanding results for clients to whom he has consulted.
